Net-Zero Industry Act (NZIA) gets final green light from Parliament

25/04/24 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 25 April, MEPs approved the provisional agreement on the Net-Zero Industry Act (NZIA) by a large majority: 361 votes in favour, 121 against and 45 abstentions. The NZIA “is our first step towards restoring European industrial competitiveness and finally creating a business case for industrial decarbonisation in Europe”, said the text’s rapporteur in Parliament, Christian Ehler (EPP, German).
